Smoothies are such a great way to increase your daily intake of fruits and veggies which helps provide a diverse array of essential vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.
Green smoothies in particular, that are packed with leafy greens, are known to help detox your liver so your body is able to better flush out toxins.
Green smoothies often get a bad rap for tasting “too healthy”. The two key ingredients I always add to my green smoothie to make it taste amazing are lime and mint. Throw in some frozen mango and coconut milk and you have a green tropical smoothie that tastes great!
Ingredients:
2 bananas
1 cup of frozen mango
1 cup of spinach or kale
1 cup of cucumber
2 cups of coconut milk
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or lactose-free yogurt of choice)
6 mint leaves
Juice from 1 lime
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and enjoy!
