Halloween is around the corner and that means lots of temptation to treat yourself to sweets. Have a batch of these on hand and you won’t tempted anymore. These gummies are like a pumpkin pie party in your mouth!
These are cute and festive and have an added health punch from the turmeric. Trust me, you can’t taste it with all the pumpkin spice flavor bursting through!
The pinch of black pepper increases the turmeric’s potent anti-inflammatory properties since combining pepper with turmeric helps your body absorb it more.
The grass-fed gelatin adds even more amazing health benefits of these gummies. Gelatin has been shown to be protective and healing to the gut lining, supports joint and bone heath, aids in elasticity of skin and strengthens hair and nails.
With all those health benefits, how can you not love these healthy treats?
Ingredients
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup pumpkin purée
1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
2 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp turmeric, fresh or powdered
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup grass-fed gelatin
Directions:
In a blender, mix all ingredients (except gelatin) until well blended.
Pour the mixture in a saucepan and heat on low. Slowly add the gelatin while continuously stirring to avoid clumping. Stir for 3 additional minutes until gelatin is fully dissolved.
Pour mixture into silicone candy molds and place in fridge for one hour to allow gelatine to set. A silicone loaf pan will also work as these can also be cut into square shapes.
