Chicken Turkey Spinach Feta Burgers

Writer's picture: Liz HoobchaakLiz Hoobchaak

These are my go-to chicken/turkey meatballs that I’ve made countless times and they always turn out perfect!

They are low-carb with no breadcrumbs needed as the egg helps to bind them. The feta helps retain the moisture and gives them a slightly creamy taste.

These meatballs are so juicy and delicious and can be used in a variety of ways for several different meals. Roll them into small bite-sized meatballs or full size burgers! They are a great meal prep item to have in your fridge when you need to throw together a quick meal.

Ingredients:

1lb ground turkey

1lb ground chicken

2 eggs

3 cloves of garlic

2 cup of fresh spinach

1 cup of fresh parsley

1 cup crumbled feta

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F°.

  2. Place all the ingredients, except the crumbled feta, into a food processor and mix until fully incorporated.

  3. Mix in the crumbled feta with a spoon. You can removed the blade and mixed it directly in the food processor.

  4. Shape the meatballs into any size using your fingers and place them on a baking tray.

  5. For smaller-medium sized meatballs, bake for18-20 minutes. For burger size, bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

  6. For a brown crust on top, heat 2 tbsp olive oil a medium size pan on the stove and sear each side for one minute.

These can be served on their own, on top of a salad, in a bun or lettuce wrap, or in a pasta sauce. Be creative and enjoy!
